Based in Mitchell and serving customers throughout Southwestern Ontario, H. Van Moorsel Insulation was founded by Harry Van Moorsel in 1974. After beginning with just a spray foam truck, Harry purchased an attic installation truck approximately one year later. A number of years later Harry’s son, Brent, joined the business as an installer and is now the owner. Over the years, H. Van Moorsel Insulation has evolved with the industry to become southwestern Ontario’s predominate insulation company
H. Van Moorsel Insulation takes pride in providing its customers with quality workmanship and outstanding service. All of our technicians are trained and certified by Caliber Sprayfoam Quality Assurance Program. We may not be the biggest insulation company but we strive to be the best.

Polarfoam PF-7300-0 Soya is an environmentally friendly, high performance, closed cell rigid polyurethane foam used for insulation and is spray applied exclusively by certified applicators.
POLARFOAM PF-7300-0 SOYA urethane foam insulation, known as the all-in-one wall system, provides insulation, air and a vapour barrier in one product. Air infiltration is a vicious circle. In cold weather, cool air heat escapes and in warm weather, cool air escapes. Air infiltration takes away your energy efficiency. This ecological, Zero Ozone depletion substrate, insulation is an energy efficient insulating material with the highest R value rating and is made from recycled plastics and soya. Polarfoam PF-7300-0 SOYA Spray Foam Insulation sets new standards of quality, energy-efficiency and performance for builders, architects, contractors and homeowners. Our polyurethane insulator’s high R-value (6) and ease of application have taken insulation performance to a whole new level. The foam accomplishes three goals: sealing out dust and pollen; generating energy efficiency that noticeable lowers monthly utility bill and offers a controlled, comfortable living environment. Based in renewable natural resources, Polarfoam PF-7300-0 SOYA Spray Foam Insulation creates more energy efficient homes by expanding to seal cracks, gaps and voids in walls and ceilings. As a result, homebuilders and homeowners can use smaller, more energy efficient heating and cooling units to achieve the same level of comfort. Polarfoam PF-7300-0 SOYA Spray Foam Insulation two component formula reduces moisture intrusion and energy loss in homes plus it tightly bonds with beams and surfaces in ceilings and wall to deliver an air barrier that surpasses conventional insulation materials. By maximizing the use of renewal materials and reducing energy consumption, Polarfoam PF-7300-0 SOYA Spray Foam Insulation makes a profound impact on the environment, supports green building and creates healthy living spaces.
H. Van Moorsel Insulation uses only thoroughly researched products. All products are CCMC-approved and meet all building code requirements. The insulation products we use are environmentally responsible products.
Therm-O-Light Cellulose is the greenest and most all-natural insulation. It is made from 100% recycled newsprint that is ground and then treated with various additives to make it resistant to fire, pests and other harmful agents. The effectiveness of insulation is measured by its R-value – the resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulation value. Loose-fill thermal and acoustical cellulose fibre insulation (CFI) is manufactured from specially selected grades of recycled paper and paperboard products. It can be installed manually by hand (i.e. hand pouring) or by using pneumatic blowing equipment. It can be used in new or existing buildings and is suitable for use in both above and below grade applications. It can be applied to any open horizontal or sloped surface with a pitch up to 4.5 in 12, as well as any enclosed space such as walls, floors, flat roofs and cathedral ceilings. It is treated with a special blend of non-corrosive borate and sulphate fire retardant additives which protect the product and adjacent construction materials against mould growth, wood decay, insect damage and discourages rodent activity.
Therm-O-Spray is a thermal and acoustical cellulose fibre insulation (CFI) manufactured from specially selected grades of recycled paper and paperboard products.
STC (Sound Transmission Class) – Transmission loss (TL) begins when sound waves strike one side of a partition or assembly (for example, a wall, ceiling, or floor), causing it to vibrate. The vibration travels through the partition and produces a sound on the other side. Some of the vibration energy may be lost during the transmission, which results in TL. High TL means that less sound is produced on the other side of the partition. The STC rating is a single number rating of how well a building partition or assembly reduces airborne sounds transmission from one space to another, thus increasing TL. In short, STC measures how much sound is held inside the room, rather than being transferred to other rooms.
Having issues with noisy neighbours or “paper-thin” walls? Would you like to effectively reduce airborne sound transmission? We offer several retrofit insulation options that will meet your needs.
